If you’ve ever wondered whether a startup can go head-to-head with legacy providers in the capital markets, look at the people behind the platforms.

At Vinyl Equity, operational credibility doesn’t come from flash, it comes from experience. And few people embody that better than Silvio “Joe” Conte, our Head of Partnerships. With over two decades in capital markets operations, including roles at NYSE, J.P. Morgan, and Equiniti Trust, Joe brings the kind of institutional knowledge that doesn’t just meet the moment, it reshapes what’s possible.

Joe’s name may not be on an S-1 or Form 10, but chances are he’s had a hand in bringing hundreds or even thousands to life. From IPOs to capital raises to complex corporate actions, he’s operated behind the scenes for companies navigating some of their most high-stakes milestones.

He knows where friction exists, not in theory, but from experience, and more importantly, how to eliminate it.

At the New York Stock Exchange, Joe helped lead corporate action operations during a period of intense volume and volatility, acting as the bridge between issuers, regulators, and trading community. He established many operational precedents such as bringing ETFs & SPAC IPOs and foreign & domestic direct listings to the Exchange. At Equiniti, he played a key role in launching their U.S. corporate actions payments platform from the ground up, modernizing workflows around mergers, reorganizations, and dividend events. And at J.P. Morgan, Joe managed depositary receipt programs for some of the largest public companies in the world, honing deep expertise in transfer agency, investor communications, and global capital flows.

That’s not just experience. That’s pattern recognition and it’s a big reason companies trust Joe’s instincts when it comes to operational infrastructure.

Joe’s credibility with capital market partners comes with decades of firsthand experience. His deep understanding of how public companies operate helps build trust quickly and ensures that the infrastructure we are delivering reflects the realities teams face after they go public. He also works closely with partners across the ecosystem, law firms, exchanges, advisors, to modernize what IPO readiness looks like from the inside out.

He’s a big reason why, when people dig in, they walk away saying: “Okay, this team has the depth.”

Because at Vinyl, credibility doesn’t just come from what we build. It comes from who’s building it.
