In the rush to get IPO-ready, companies often zero in on new systems, tools, and workflows. But the real test comes behind the scenes, in whether the team has the knowledge and operational depth to deliver when it counts.

That depth comes from leaders like Lisa Scotland, who’s been building and running capital markets operations for over two decades.

Lisa joined Vinyl as Head of Operations in 2023, bringing a career that spans transfer agent and corporate trust compliance, as well as broader capital markets infrastructure. Before Vinyl, she was a senior leader at Odyssey Trust Company and served as its Chief Compliance and Risk Officer, helping to scale a growing transfer agent while navigating complex regulatory environments.

Her earlier roles at Computershare and Valiant Trust gave her hands-on exposure across key areas of issuer services from unclaimed property and corporate actions to tax reporting, FATCA/CRS compliance, and regulatory audits. Lisa also brings a rare mix of systems thinking and regulatory insight, shaped by years of writing software requirements, training programs, and policy documentation that keep operations aligned and audit-ready.

At Vinyl, she draws on that background to help companies navigate the full journey to, and through, the public markets. Her experience gives teams confidence that Vinyl’s modern platform is built with real-world execution in mind.

Lisa also plays a key role in how Vinyl works with regulators, legal advisors, and other ecosystem partners. Her reputation in the industry means teams know they’re in capable hands from day one.

The takeaway? In capital markets, operational credibility is everything. Lisa’s experience isn’t just impressive on paper, it shows up every day in how she helps teams prepare for what’s ahead.
